 PROGRAMS AT SAI 

Individual Sessions

Individual therapy sessions for Special Education, Assessments, Support for school programs. These are individual sessions conducted by our renowned Behaviour Therapist.

Full Day Program

Apoorva accepts each child as he is, and respects his sensory needs by aligning the program as per the child’s requirement and working towards the holistic development of the child. The daily schedule focuses on socialisation and communication with various short group activities including music, dance and yoga

Early Intervention  Program

Age group 3-6 years – This program is designed for toddlers focussing more on ADL skills, gross motor, Academic prerequisites and language building in a play way. The child is exposed to all the areas of Montessori training through enjoyable activities. The highlights of the program are : 

  • Physical exercises – Helps in correcting the posture and increasing alertness

  • Play way learning  – Receptive learning , academics etc are all taught in a creative play manner.

  • Outdoor Play areas​

Academic Program

Age group 7-14 years – The program focusses more on ADLs and academic skills. Physical exercises, yoga, fine motor and independence in handling day to day activities are the main key areas worked upon. The highlights of the program are : 

  • Movement based learning – Helps in increasing alertness

  • Group activities – Focussing on socialisation, different group activities are designed like art, dance, peer identification etc. 

  • Social outings. 

Functional Academic Program

Age group 14-18 years - Young teenagers are trained in different skills required to contribute successfully at work, community, and in home life. We pay more attention to skill development in areas that focus on employment - in line with our aim to contribute to Mission 1000, GOI's mandate to focus on an inclusive India. Some of the key areas which are worked are : 

  • Craft work – Painting , drawing , beading (jewellery) etc

  • Mat weaving and stitching 

  • Origami – Clay modelling, Paper folding etc.

  • Group activities – Focus is on turn taking and helping themselves and peers. 

  • Exposure to neighbourhood areas.

Vocational Training

Age group 18 years+ - As per the interests and skills, the individual is trained towards different products like Diya painting, Paper bags, Gardening, Mat weaving, Stitching, Packing , drawings etc.  The aim is to give them a comfortable place where they can respectfully and happily work towards the school orders maintaining a balance of physical exercise and communication goals. The key mantra here is Respect , Work, Remain fit and be happy. 

Support Activities

We do provide practical trainings to the interns in the field of special education, psychology, psychiatry etc. 

 

Our centre is committed towards providing any support to parents, creating societal awareness by conducting campaigns and workshops.
